The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) is conducting the Entrance Examination for admission into the B.Sc. Nursing course for both government and private institutes of Assam for the session 2024. This examination is a crucial step for aspiring nurses to secure a seat in esteemed institutions across the state.

B Sc Nursing Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Council/University.
- Must have studied English as one of the subjects.
- Must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General Category candidates.
- The requirement is 45% for PwD candidates and 40% for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category candidates.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2024.
Examination Pattern
- Type of Questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology and Botany), and English
- Total Questions: 100 (25 questions per subject)
- Marks Distribution:
- Physics: 25 marks
- Chemistry: 25 marks
- Biology: 25 marks
- English: 25 marks
Merit and Selection
Merit will be determined based on the total marks obtained in all subjects. In case of a tie, preference will be given based on:
- Higher marks in Biology
- Higher marks in Chemistry
- Higher marks in Physics
- Higher marks in English
If ties persist, marks obtained in qualifying examinations (10+2) will be considered.
Cut-Off Scores
- General (UR/EWS): 50th Percentile
- SC/ST/OBC: 40th Percentile
- UR-PWD: 45th Percentile
In the event of vacant seats, the minimum percentile may be reassessed by the Government of Assam or the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam.
Examination Zones
The entrance test will be conducted in the following zones:
- Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur, Kokrajhar, Shillong, Aizawl, Itanagar, Agartala, Imphal, Dimapur, Gangtok
The final decision regarding examination centers in state capitals of other North Eastern states will depend on the number of applicants.

- Reservation: Seats are reserved as per government norms for categories such as SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/TGL/EX-TGL/EWS/PwD.
