THE SCHEDULE OF CTET 2024 IS GIVEN BELOW:
Structure and Content of CTET
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of whichone answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.There will be two papers of CTET.
- i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- (ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage
Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage:
Nature and standard of questions:
- The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology ofteaching and learning, relevant to the age group of 11-14 years. They will focus on understandingthe characteristics, needs and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and theattributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
- The Test items in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.
- The Test items in Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication andcomprehension abilities.
- Language II will be a language other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one languageas Language I and other as Language II from the available language options and will be requiredto specify the same in the Confirmation Page.
- Opt two languages in which you wish to appear for CTET : List of languages and code are asfollows:
- The Test items in Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies/Social Science will focus on theconcepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of thesubjects. The test items of Mathematics and Science will be of 30 marks each. The test items willbe evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject as prescribed forclasses VI-Vlll by the NCERT.
- The questions in the test for Paper II will be based on the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes VI-VII

Candidates can apply for CTET December 2024 ‘ON-LINE’ through website https://ctet.nic.in |
For ‘ON-LINE’ SUBMISSION – https://ctet.nic.in Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ at Board’s website https://ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Application Number after successful submission of data. |
Candidates are not required to send hard copy of confirmation page to CTET Unit, CBSE. However, the candidates are advised to retain the hard copy of the application i.e. confirmation page, for future reference. |

Application Procedure: 4 Simple Steps to be followed to apply online |
Step 1:Fill in the Online Application Form and note down system generated Registration No./Application No. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. After successful submission of the data, Registration No. will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and also required for all future correspondence. Upload latest Photograph and Signature Note : Latest photographs and signature should be in jpg format.Size of the photo image must be greater than 10 kb and less than 100 kb.Size of the signature image must be greater than 3 kb and less than 30 kb.Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm(width) * 4.5 cm(Height) onlyImage Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm(length) * 1.5 cm(Height) only* NOTE : The candidate particulars can be edited till the payment of fees has not been made. Once the payment of fees has been made, candidate particulars cannot be edited at this stage. Thereafter corrections can be made only during the period in which online correction will be allowed as per the given schedule of CTET December 2024 . No change will be accepted through offline mode i.e. through fax/application or by email etc. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.Step 2:Pay Examination Fee by debit card/credit card. OR Pay Examination Fee by Internet Banking.Step 3:Print Confirmation Page for your record and future reference. |
All Steps are mandatory, On-line application submission will be considered as complete only after receipt of “Confirmation Page” by candidate. |
Important Instructions about PASSWORD |
During registration, candidate will be required to choose PASSWORD and Security Question and its Answer. Candidate is advised to remember his/her password for all future logins.The Password must be as per the following Password policy. Password must be 8 to 13 character long.Password must have at least one Upper case alphabetPassword must have at least one Lower case alphabet.Password must have at least one numeric value.Password must have at least one special characters eg.!@#$%^&*-For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to login directly with his/her respective system generated Application Number and the chosen Password.Candidate is advised not to disclose or share his/her password with anybody. Neither CBSE nor NIC will be responsible for violation or misuse of the password of a candidate.Candidate can change his/her passwords after login, if desired.Candidate should remember to log out at the end of his/her session so that the particulars of the candidate cannot be tampered or modified by unauthorized persons. |
