GATE 2025 Details
Format: Computer-based test (CBT).
Organizing Institution: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
Current Undergraduate Students: Candidates in their third or higher year of any undergraduate degree program.
Graduates: Those who have completed a government-approved degree program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities.
Opportunities for GATE Scoreholders
Higher Education:
Master’s Programs: Admission and/or financial assistance to Master’s programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities.
Doctoral Programs: Admission and/or financial assistance to Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities, both directly and through relevant branches.
Admission: GATE scores may be used by some colleges and institutions for admitting students without MOE scholarships or assistantships.
Recruitment: Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) utilize GATE scores for recruitment purposes.
