Eligibility Criteria of Minority Community Certificate
i. Applicant should be a citizen of India
ii. She/he should be a permanent resident of Assam
iii. She/he should belong to minority community as defined under clause (c) of Section 2 of the National Commission of Minority Act,1992. For the purposes of the said Act, the Central Government has notified Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Jains vide Ministry of Welfare Notification No. S.O. 816 (E), dated 23.10.1993, F.No.1/1193-MC(D) dated 23.10.1993 and Ministry of Minority Affairs Notification No. S.O.267 (E), dated 27.01.2014
Documents Required for Minority Community Certificate
1. ID proof (Aadhaar Card) – Mandatory.
2. Address Proof (Mandatory)- Any of the following:
- a) Aadhaar card,
- b) Voter Card,
- c) Passport,
- d) Driving License,
- e) Bank Pass Book with Photo,
- (Note: Address proof of parents will be valid)
3. Age Proof or Date of Birth Proof (Mandatory): Any of the following –
- a) Aadhaar card
- b) Birth Certificate
- c) 10th Admit Card or 10th School Leaving Certificate with Date of Birth
- d) PAN Card

How to apply minority community certificate in assam
Minority Community Certificate Application Fee
- Service charge (through PFC/CSC) – Rs. 30/-
- Printing charge (in case of any printing from PFC/CSC) – Rs. 10 per page
- Scanning charge (in case documents are scanned in PFC/CSC) – Rs. 5 per page
- Statutory/ User charge – Rs. 10/-
- Convenience fee- Rs. 10/-
Guidelines for Minority Community Certificate Application:
- Registration:
- If you are a first-time user, click the Register tab located at the top-right corner of the page.
- Complete the registration by providing the necessary details such as:
- Full Name
- Mobile Number
- Email ID (optional)
- State
- Password
- Login:
- After registration, click the Login tab and log in using your credentials.
- Applying for a Service:
- Once logged in, click the Apply Online tab.
- Select the desired service and review the Requirements tab.
- Click the Apply button to proceed.
- Form Submission:
- Fill out the application form and upload the required supporting documents.
- On completing the form, submit it and proceed to payment.
- Payment:
- Pay the requisite amount upon final submission of the form.
- After a successful payment, the application will be forwarded to higher officials for further processing.
- Acknowledgement:
- An acknowledgement will be generated, containing the application reference number.
- This reference number will be notified to the applicant via SMS and Email.
- Service Completion:
- Upon completion of the service, the applicant will receive an SMS and Email alert.
- The applicant is required to respond to these alerts regarding the completion of the service.
- Certificate Generation:
- The Minority Community Certificate will be generated within 15 working days after successful service completion.
- The applicant will receive notifications via SMS and Email and can download the certificate from the ARTPS portal.
