The Pharmacy Entrance Examination 2024 is being conducted by the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam, for admission into the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) courses. Pharmacy Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Pharmacy Entrance Examination, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

1. Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
2. Educational Qualification:
   • Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or equivalent examination.
   • Must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and/or Mathematics.
   • Must have passed from a recognized board/council/university without grace marks.
   • Students from non-formal and non-classroom-based schooling like the National Institute of Open Schooling are not eligible for the B.Pharm course.
3. Age Requirement: Candidates must be a minimum of 17 years old by 31st December 2024.

The entrance examination will be held in the following cities across Assam:

Syllabus of Pharmacy Entrance Examination

The examination will consist of one paper with 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering the following subjects:

• English: 25 Marks
• Physics: 25 Marks
• Chemistry: 25 Marks
• Biology or Mathematics: 25 Marks

The questions will be of Higher Secondary (10+2) science standard. Merit will be determined based on the total marks obtained in all subjects.

Reservation and Merit Criteria

• Reservation: Seats are reserved for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/TGL/Ex-TGL/EWS/PWD categories as per government norms. Details will be announced by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam.
• Merit Determination: In case of a tie in marks, inter-se merit will be determined based on marks in Biology/Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and English, in that order. If further tie-breaking is needed, qualifying examination marks will be considered during counselling.
